Options Mississauga Print and Office Services provides employment training to individuals who have an intellectual disability.
Our core program is designed to help train individuals to successfully integrate into the workforce. This training includes business etiquette (dealing with customers, punctuality, personal presentation etc) and may involve tasks such as answering phones, using a cash register, photocopying and using computers.
Perhaps the most important achievement of our program is instilling confidence in the participants that they can successfully function in a "real business environment” and contribute meaningfully.
Our program has been very well received by the people we support.
We also operate a high school co-op program where students who have an intellectual disability can work at Options to experience what it is like to work in a retail environment. This broadens their horizons and helps them decide what path to choose after finishing school.
